The masterclass is a fusion of different street styles with some jazz elements. It is designed to challenge a dancer’s body control and placement, while focusing on performance, musicality, and dynamics. James aims to bring out the best in each dancer by insisting on showcasing personality and individuality through dynamic choices.

James Alonzo is a North Carolina native who received his M.A. in Dance Education at New York University. James has had the opportunity to train in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta in modern, contemporary, street jazz, hip-hop, and commercial dance. He has trained with choreographers such as Luam, Neil Schwartz, Zach Lattimore, Jared Jenkins, and Candace Brown. James was also a Monsters of Hip Hop Show Nominee in 2015. A few of James’ professional credits include Cardi B, Travis Scott, Rotimi, Tostitos, The Brooklyn Nets Dancers, BookAFlashMob, and Affelou Sunglasses. He currently teaches at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center in NYC.
