About the instructor:
Dani, a native of Green Bay, WI, started dancing at age 4. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and pointe at various studios, until she found Green Bay School of Dance, where she trained in the pre – professional program during high school. During that time, Dani performed various roles with the Northeastern Wisconsin Dance Organization in ballets such as The Nutcracker, and Peter and the Wolf & Other Ballets.
After high school, Dani was accepted into The University of Iowa’s Department of Dance, where she continued her professional training and in ballet, modern, improvisation, and choreography. Additionally, she performed student and faculty work during her time at Iowa. Dani graduated 2016 with her B.A. in Dance, however due to a knee injury Dani decided to dedicate her studies and time to a different cause: student-athletes. In 2018, Dani graduated with a M.A. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies, with a background in advising the academic progression of student-athletes. During her time in graduate school, Dani taught ballet at a local studio to keep herself involved in the art form she loves dearly.
Dani now works at Duke University in the Athletics Department full time, and is very grateful to teach and share her love of the art form. Dani teaches modern, ballet, and pointe.
